Redbridge Concern for Mental Health is £1,000 better off thanks to a Barkingside supermarket.
To round off a year of fundraising under the Sainsbury’s “local charity partner” scheme, store manager Chris Wager and HR manager Elaine Paris-Eley presented a cheque to the Ilford charity.
Staff at the Tanners Lane store raised the money through dress-up days, bric-a-brac sales, cake stalls, bingo nights and collection boxes at tills.
The charity’s promotion and liaison officer Jon Abrams said: “On behalf of everyone at Redbridge Concern for Mental Health, I would like to extend our sincere thanks for Sainsbury’s Barkingside.
“Their support has helped us to produce a comprehensive and colourful mental health and well being directory, which will be a valuable resource for the Redbridge community.”
