Police appeal after motorcyclist found dead in ditch in Woodford Green

A motorcyclist found dead in a ditch is believed to have been involved in a fatal collision.

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal accident in Chingford Lane, Woodford Green, in the early hours of the morning.

Officers were called at 3.19am at the junction between Chingford Lane and Montalt Road after a motorcyclist was found in a ditch.

The man, believed to be in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers believe the incident happened two hours earlier around 1.20am and an investigation has opened.

Anyone who saw what happened is urged to get in touch with the Serious Collision Investigation Unit’s dedicated witness line at Chadwell Heath Traffic Garage on 020 8597 4874.
