Residents left bewildered by car mysteriously abandoned on Clayhall road

Do you recognise this car? It’s been abandoned for eight weeks in a residential Clayhall road for reasons unknown.
Residents in Brinkworth Road originally assumed the owners of the blue Ford KA might have gone on holiday, but as the weeks went by the mystery surrounding the car continued to deepen.
Finally, after eight weeks, residents have had enough.
“It’s absolutely filthy and it’s just sitting outside getting filthier,” one angry resident told the Recorder.
“We’ve contacted the police, and it’s not been reported stolen, and Redbridge Council have told us it’s fully taxed until October so they can’t do anything about it.
“It means no one can park outside our house and we just want to know why it’s there and who left it.”
A Redbridge Council spokeswoman confirmed that Redbridge Enforcement officers had been to Brinkworth Road to inspect the car, but as it is fully taxed and parked legally they could take no action.
Anyone with any information about the mystery vehicle can contact the Recorder on 0208 477 3957.
