Wanstead underground station has been temporarily closed due to reports of a burning smell.
Three fire engines carrying 15 firefighters were called to the scene at 9am and are currently investigating reports at the station in The Green, Wanstead.
The station was evacuated and no one is thought to have been injured.

UPDATE: At 9.50am London Fire Brigade announced that the station had reopened and that the smell had come from fumes on the street. Fire crews have since left the seen.
