Lots of police cars were seen in Lechmere Avenue, the road almost opposite to Tesco Superstore Woodford Green Picture: Google Maps

More than eight police cars pulled up at the junction of Woodford Avenue and Lechmere Avenue last night.

Residents said they saw armed police at around 11pm on Wednesday, October 3.

A Met Police spokeswoman confirmed officers were at the scene following “a pursuit”.
