Women of all faiths and none are invited to learn about Muslim and Christian wedding ceremonies at an Ilford church workshop.

Charity Redbridge Faith Forum is set to hold a workshop on the theme of Weddings: Ceremony, Custom & Tradition at St Andrew’s Church Hall, in St Andrew’s Road, on February 28 from 1 to 3pm.

The session features Christian and Muslim speakers, following on from other recent workshops which have focussed on Baha’i, Buddhist, Hindu, Jewish and Sikh wedding customs.

The event comes ahead of the forum’s International Womens’ Day celebrations on March 8, involving a guided walk around Bow, in east London, to the areas frequented by former political pioneers, philanthropists, suffragettes, social reformers and other legendary figures associated with the area.

The faith forum seeks to bring together people of different religious faiths and none to promote respect co-operation and understanding.

The workshop is free to attend. To book contact 020 8708 2478 or email
