Fog is causing heavy traffic on the M11 and A12 with visibility conditions down to about 50 metres.
On the M11 southbound between the M25 and A406 (between M11 junctions four and six) there are long queues.
On the A12 there is heavy traffic westbound between Newbury Park and Redbridge roundabout.
Greater Anglia said that the 7.39am Gidea Park to London Liverpool Street has been cancelled due to a train fault and the earlier 6.44am train was also cancelled.
