Six people with links to Redbridge have been named in today’s Queen’s birthday honours list.
Jack Petchey, a businessman who founded the charity the Jack Petchey Foundation, which awards grants to enable young people to play a bigger role in society and whose headquarters is in Clements Court, Ilford, received a CBE having previously been awarded an OBE.
Other high profile people who have received honours include Wanstead media lawyer Mark Stephens, who is representing Wikileaks founder Julian Assange.
