Time travel is the latest addition to the curriculum for students at a school in Redbridge.

Year Five students at Uphall Primary School, in Uphall Road, Ilford, buried time capsules in their school playing field on Friday (February 2).

Contained in the capsules are letters, diary entries and variety of special items and photographs.

Left to posterity, future generations will be able to locate the treasured tin can offering at the end of the playing field nearest to the brick wall.

Uphall Primary School Teacher Rabeha Malik, who teaches class ‘5 Woolf,’ said: “The students loved it, and are looking forward to their time capsules being dug up in the future.”

The activity took place as part of the students half term “creative learning” classes.
