Artistic youngsters from across Redbridge had their art proudly displayed at a special exhibition held at a school in Chigwell earlier this month.

Chigwell School in Chigwell High Road hosted its 21st primary schools’ open art, design and technology exhibition which saw 26 local schools from across Redbridge and Essex submit work created by their most talented and creative pupils.

The artwork was displayed in the Chigwell School Gallery and amazingly, more than three hundred visitors attended the opening of the exhibition.

Claire Tilbrook, Chigwell School’s head of junior school art, said:
“We were delighted that so many schools were part of this year’s exhibition with work which ranged from a huge flying tissue paper parrot, to some beautiful detailed close-ups of animal eyes in chalks and pastels.

“Pupils enjoyed seeing their work on display and we were very impressed by the quality of their art.”
