When the Recorder reported that Redbridge Council was going to build an adult playground complete with ropes and monkey bars, lots of residents got in contact to express their excitement.

The location of the project is still unconfirmed, but the local authority had narrowed the venue down to two locations, Clayhall Park, Longwood Gardens and Fairlop Waters, Forest Road.

More than 400 readers released their inner child and voted in the Recorder’s poll to say where they would like the apparatus
set up.

The results are in and a whopping 42per cent of respondents said they would like the playground in Clayhall Park, while 32pc favoured Fairlop Water and 16pc said they would like it at another location in the borough.

And while some people loved the project 8pc of pollers said they would rather the project wasn’t made a reality.
