Two musicians from Redbridge will perform at 19 pitches across the capital as part of a London wide busking competition.

Performers have been applying to be part of the Mayor of London’s Gigs
event since March and soloist Etna Scar and duo Mascari will play to crowds until August 6.

During that time the artists will be seen by an industry panel of music professionals who will select five acts to perform at the Grand Final.

A sixth performer for each category will be chosen via an audience vote.

“London is a global capital of culture and we have produced some of the world’s greatest musicians,” said mayor Sadiq Khan.

“Many of them start out by busking and our competition gives them a fantastic opportunity to showcase their work.

Members of the public are encouraged to vote for their favourite by August 28.
