Those feeling inspired by the British women’s hockey team’s Olympic medal-winning performance can try out their skills.
The free Give it a Go sessions are open to any women aged 16 or over, regardless of whether you’ve never picked up a hockey stick in your life, or used to play years ago.
Redbridge & Ilford Hockey Club secretary Ruth Pinner, said: “It’s got a big social aspect. People of mixed ability skill can play together. Sometimes you get different generations playing in the same team.”
The sessions will be held every Wednesday until October 10 at the club, Redbridge Sports and Leisure Centre, Forest Road, Barkingside.
