Top students at Redbridge College enjoyed a night of red carpet treatment as their academic achievements were highlighted at their annual student awards evening.

A specially-invited 250 people attended, including proud families, staff and college sponsors including UKCBC.

The ceremony took place at the Box Theatre, at the college’s Chadwell Heath campus, where the audience enjoyed entertainment from finalists of their 2017 Talent Show.

Special guests and speakers included Derek ‘Sweet Dee’ Williams, a former champion heavyweight boxer, former student Maira Asad, a graduate of the college’s career ready programme and graduate of Queen Mary University, and Mayor of Redbridge Cllr Linda Huggett and her husband.
