Friends of Wanstead Parklands

Group members got together to raise awareness of Wanstead Park at a pop-up shop.

The park enthusiasts joined sustainable energy company itdoesthejob.com – a park supporter – at its temporary shop in Leytonstone this morning.

Guests enjoyed tea and cake as they learnt about the history and conservation of the grade II listed park in Warren Road, Wanstead.

The group sold books and park merchandise, while the energy company gave advice on how to save energy during the winter.

Itdoesthejob.com’s Dee Wood said: “We wanted to promote all of the things you can do in your local area too – we want more people to realise that there’s a massive green space on our doorsteps that we should all take advantage of.”
