All eight of Ilford County High School’s Oxbridge candidates had their places confirmed this morning after receiving their A-level results.
Head teacher, Michael Capon, said: “Lot’s of people seem to be getting into their first choice university and I haven’t seen anyone in floods of tears yet.”
Overall, around 99% of pupils received passing grades in their A/2 results with 18.3% attaining an A*.
Almost three quarters of the students achieved A* to B grades and there will be 15 students studying medicine after they leave Ilford County.
Mr Capon added: “Congratulations are in order for all the students going away in September and also to the staff who have been teaching them over the past two years.”
