The Red Arrows were spotted over Redbridge this afternoon during the Olympics victory parade in central London.
Onlookers were surprised to see the elite team fly over areas including Barkingside and Wanstead around 3.45pm joined by British Airways planes and helicopters.
Lois Cochrane tweeted: “Just seen the Red Arrows go over Barkingside!”
Minutes later, Jeanette Mannion wrote: “Just saw helicopters planes and Red Arrows over Wanstead.”
The flypast, which culminated over Buckingham Palace, was part of the celebration of Team GB’s success in the Olympics and Paralympics.
