A nursing home’s summer fair had to move inside when the heavens opened.
But residents at Seabrooke Manor Residential Nursing Home, in Lavender Place, Ilford, still enjoyed a spread of British and Indian food along with a live band performing wartime songs and dancing last weekend.
Members of the public and staff also joined in the fun.
Home manager Nellie Sooben said: “The rain didn’t stop us having a good time. The residents had a lovely afternoon.
“The deputy mayor, Cllr Tania Solomon, came and it was a big thing for them to have someone from the town hall there so they really enjoyed it.”
