A rabbi will give a Remembrance service next to the grave of a Royal Air Force veteran who she recently discovered she was related to.
Rabbi Nancy Morris, from the South West Essex and Settlement Reform Synagogue in Oaks Lane, Newbury Park conducted the service on Monday at 11am.
It will be in remembrance of Jewish pilot Harry Jassby who is buried at St Peter’s Church, Aldborough Road North where the service will be held.
Second Lt Jassby, originally from Montreal, Canada, was killed on November 6 1918 just a few days before the end of the First World War.
Rabbi Morris is also from Montreal and said she was amazed to find out she was related to the Jassby family when she was researching her family tree.
