The mother of a singer and model who died after a six-year battle with cancer is calling on publishers to help her realise her daughter’s final wish.
Santosh Kapal, 67, of Pembroke Close, Seven Kings, wants publishers to help her release her daughter Seema Jaya Sharma’s book of poems, which she had written in her final months.
The book My Journey Through Cancer: The Essence documents 38-year-old Seema’s deepest thoughts and feelings up until her very last days.
Seema’s mum is hoping the book will help her daughters legacy live on after her story went global when her final Facebook status attracted thousands of likes and comments last month.
Santosh said: “Her real wish was to publish the book.
“It’s her journey from the beginning to the end. It’s the journey of someone going through cancer.”
Santosh said the poems were “so touching”.
“She even wrote about me,” she said.
“I watched her and supported her when she wrote her book.
“The poems are truly wonderful and powerful, and I hope everyone can buy the book so you can share Seema’s journey.”
