Campaigners opposed to housing developments in Wanstead and Woodford are meeting tonight to discuss the impact the plans could have on the area.
Redbridge Council is holding a public consultation on four options aimed at tackling the borough’s housing crisis.
Building up town centres in Woodford and Wanstead and develop the Oakfield site in Barkingside are among the proposals being aired.
The Save Our Suburbs campaign team say the plans would see high rise developments come to the area which would increase housing density and put pressure on schools, doctors and transport links.
The meeting will start at 7pm at Woodford Parish Church Memorial Hall and begin with a short presentation on the consultation, followed by a Q&A session.
