The future of a recreational space in the borough is now in the hands of residents.
Redbridge Council is inviting members of the public to have their say on how the Goodmayes Park Extension should be managed.
Singh Sabha Football Club had been granted a 35-year lease in 2013 for the 25 acre area, opposite Goodmayes Park, in Aberdour Road, but this was overturned.
Redbridge Council’s cabinet made the decision after there were disagreements over whether the council or the club would cover legal costs.
People can share their views at a public meeting at Goodmayes Library, in Goodmayes Lane, on September 29 at 6.30pm.
Alternatively, they can fill out an online survey.
Cllr Wes Streeting, deputy leader of the council and cabinet member for health and wellbeing, said: “This is a great opportunity for the community to voice their opinions on how they think the park extension should be managed and used.
“We want people to enjoy their local area and feel it’s important that the community have their say on important decisions like this.”
The council and Vision Redbridge Culture and Leisure are conducting the consultation process.
