“Goodwill to all men” was the message as a congregation took to the streets to spread festive cheer – and to sweeten the deal they handed out Christmas treats to their neighbours.
On December 17, members of South Woodford’s Powerland Chapel International church braved cold and rain to sing carols and bring smiles to those living near the church, in Raven Road.
“The streets surrounding the church were coated in joy and the chilly silent night began to reverberate with consistent laughter and song from tenants and members alike,” said the church’s Dr Jermaine Bamfo. “If you weren’t there, the church group and those who had the pleasure of being visited by them will happily testify that you missed out.”
