The results of Redbridge's local elections will be declared tonight (May 3) - follow them live here.

Polling stations close at 10pm tonight, after which volunteers will be counting votes for your local councillors.

The results expected to be announced by 7am tomorrow.

Labour won a majority in Redbridge for the first time in 2011, winning 35 seats in contrast to the Conservatives’ 25 seats and Liberal Democrats’ three seats.

The Tory party held a majority for 26 years from 1964, and again from 2002-9.

No party had overall control of the council from 1992 to 2002 and from 2009 to 2014.
