Bedroom wrecked in Hainault house fire

A fire destroyed a bedroom in a Hainault home in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The blaze also caused smoke damage throughout the house in Trelawney Road.

The single male occupant of the house had fled the blaze before fire crews from Hainault Fire Station arrived at the scene at around 4am.

They took about 30 minutes to put out the fire and were at the scene for a total of three hours.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
