Police seize an esimated £5k in Class A drugs during raid on Ilford home

Three people were arrested and released under investigation following an early morning drug raid in Ilford in which around £5,000 in Class A drugs was seized.

Ilford Tasking team carried out the raid at an address in De Vere Gardens on Wednesday, June 27.

Officers forced entry into the premises after receiving information to suggest the sale of Class A drugs was taking place.

Following a search they found and seized a quantity of Class A drugs with an estimated street value of around £5,000.

Two men and one woman were arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply at the scene.

They have been interviewed and released under investigation while further inquiries are carried out.

Sgt Lee Wilkinson said: “Drug dealing will never be acceptable and we are determined to reduce the impact on Ilford.”
