Police have recovered an imitation firearm and drugs following an incident this evening.
Officers on patrol in New North Road, Hainault, made the discovery after stopping a car in the street after 5pm.
The male driver of the vehicle was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug and possession of an imitation firearm.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said the other occupants of the car had fled.
Inquiries continue to trace the other occupants of the car.
