Police officers find cannabis farm in Chigwell home while responding to reports of a burglary

Officers from Essex Police were amazed to find an alleged cannabis farm whilst responding to reports of a burglary in Chigwell this weekend.

An Essex Police spokeswoman confirmed officers were called at around 5.50pm on Saturday, 15 September, to reports of a suspected burglary in Hainault Road, Chigwell.

She added: “Once officers arrived at the property, they discovered what is believed to be a cannabis cultivation.”

Photographs taken from the scene show a number of police vans and officers gathered outside the property.

There have been no arrests and investigations are ongoing.
