Police launch appeal for witnesses after fatal collision in Clayhall

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a 95-year-old woman died after being hit by a black cab on Friday.

Police were called at around 3.40pm, to reports of a black cab involved in a collision with an elderly female pedestrian in Longwood Gardens, Clayhall.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended the scene.

The 95-year-old woman was taken to hospital, where she died earlier today (Sunday).

The taxi driver stopped at the scene. There has been no arrest.
