Police investigation launched after Redbridge chemical attack

Police are appealing for information after two men were attacked outside Redbridge Station with a liquid this morning ( Wednesday, May 30.)
Officers were called to Redbridge Lane East, Redbridge, at 10.34 to reports of two people having a substance thrown in their face.
“The two male victims have been taken to an east London hospital,” a Met Police spokesman said. “The substance thrown is being assessed.”
The victim’s injuries are not thought to be life-threatening and they are undergoing treatment.
A police cordon remains in place on Redbridge Lane East and residents should find alternative routes around the sectioned off area.
No arrests have been made and inquiries continue.
