Transport police are hunting a woman believed to have set fire to a seat on the top deck of a bus.
The suspect hopped on the 169 bus at Longbridge Road, Barking, at 8.17pm on January 29, and was caught on CCTV setting fire to a seat and making no efforts to put out the flames.
She then got off at Ilford Lane, Ilford, and the bus subsequently had to be taken out of service and the seating replaced.
Police have since been unable to identify the woman, and would like anyone with information to telephone Operation Bustag officers on 020 3054 5440.
