Police chased man on foot from Newbury Park to Wanstead after he stole meat

A man who allegedly stole £100 worth of meat from Newbury Park, managed to run all the way down the A12 to Wanstead before he was caught.

Officers were dispatched to Horns Road, today (Friday, July, 13) at 9.18am to reports of a man “making off on foot” with unpaid produce.

A police car chased the man down down Eastern Avenue and he was finally detained in a garden at the junction of Lonsdale at the A12.
