Police are appealing for information following reports of anti-social motorbike riding last week.

One of the bikers police want to speak to was caught on camera in Lambourne Road, Chigwell, on Monday, April 18.

The appeal comes as part of a wider search for offending riders in Basildon.

Essex Police’s casualty reduction manager Adam Pipe said: “These offenders blight the communities of Essex. Their actions result in high risk of harm to themselves and other innocent road users and we can’t allow them to continue using our roads in this way.

“We receive numerous reports of anti-social riding from members of the public who are understandably frustrated about the impact this behaviour is having on their community life.”

Officers say they have been unable to trace the motorcyclists as they are riding with false number plates.

Mr Pipe added: “I understand it’s difficult to identify the riders from these images but any information you may have about where they are being ridden and stored will help.”
