On Friday, March 23 at 21.32pm, officers were called to reports of a crash between two vehicles on the M11 slip road from the A406 in Redbridge.

The driver of one of the cars, a man aged in his 80s, received treatment at the scene prior to being taken to an east London hospital.

A large 4x4 vehicle was also involved in the collision and failed to stop at the scene.

The Serious Collision Investigation Unit, part of the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command (RTPC), are leading the investigation.

Any witnesses, or anyone with any information that could assist officers in identifying the 4x4 vehicle, are asked to call 0208597 4874.
