Pearly Kings and Queens in London have raised more than £4,000 for Haven House Children’s Hospice in High Road, Woodford Green.
As part of the original association, the Kings and Queens, who wear clothes decorated in pearl buttons, made appearances at events for the hospice since last year.
The association started supporting Haven House then and members made appearances at the Olympics and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations on behalf of the hospice.
They were a “huge hit” at the charity’s summer fayre in July, according to a spokesman.
At the fayre, they posed for photos and ran a stall on behalf of Haven House.
Teresa Watts, the Pearly Queen of Clapton in Hackney, said: “We are all delighted to be raising money to help such a wonderful east London charity, the work the hospice does for local children and families really is amazing.”
The tradition of Pearly Kings and Queens dates back to 1875.
