An woman in her 70s was being helped by paramedics in High Road, Ilford, at 1pm today after a fall.
She was taken into an ambulance with a bloodied face after falling in front of a vacant building, next to the Penthouse Banqueting Suite.
A member of the public, who had stopped to help her, believed she had fallen over a displaced paving slab.
A paramedic said the woman, who was taken to King George Hospital, Barley Lane, Goodmayes, had a facial injury.
He did not believe she had broken any bones.
