Orient can move back into League One’s automatic promotion places with victory over Stevenage tonight.

With Brentford and Wolves not in midweek action - and the two teams playing each other at the weekend - it is the perfect opportunity for the O’s to end a run of four matches without a win.

On the back of a hard-earned point at Preston, which means Orient are still the only team in the country to score in every away game this season, manager Russell Slade admits all games at this stage of the season are important.

They face three consecutive games at Brisbane Road against The Boro, Swindon and Colchester.

He said: “Every game’s very important, not just for me but for all the teams up there.

“It was important after three defeats that we got something out of the game.”

“We’ve got three games at home now we just have to make sure we get as many points as possible from those games.”

Stevenage prop up League One, six points from safety but with games in hand due to weather postponements and their run to the FA Cup fourth round.

Orient won 1-0 at the Lamex Stadium in August, with Kevin Lisbie scoring the only goal of the game, but lost 3-2 there in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy in November.

Elliot Omozusi is still a doubt with a groin injury but could return to the O’s defence after missing the last two games,

There was a surprise return for Shaun Batt as a substitute at Deepdale which leaves goalkeeper Jamie Jones as the only long-term absentee on the treatment table, although he tweeted yesterday that he did gym work for the first time in two months.

Midfielder Romain Vincelot is expected to overcome a knock he picked up on Saturday.

Slade said: “Romain Vincelot took a bit of a knock before half-time but he’ll be fine.”

Defender Darius Charles and midfielder Michael Doughty are both doubts for the Boro, who have won away from home only three times in League One this season - at Peterborough United, Crewe Alexandra and Notts County.

The last of those was at London Road on November 23.
