Good old-fashioned fun and games will come to town today as the annual Fairlop Fair lands in Barkingside.
Mimicking the spirit of the original fair, which is steeped in history, the 2013 incarnation will include traditional swing boats and rides, old English games, folk music, traditional dance, rowing boats, cup cake decorating and a tea party.
Street entertainers of every sort will welcome visitors to the fair in Fairlop Waters Country Park, Forest Road, Barkingside from 11am-6pm.
And you can join in the fun with the tug of war or bring your own “freaky” talent or freaky looking vegetable to the fair’s “Freaky” show.
