A nine-year-old schoolboy, who wrote a letter to the Queen about his interests, received a reply from Her Royal Highness.
Avnesh Singh Manku, of Deynecourt Gardens, Wanstead, penned his letter to Queen Elizabeth II several weeks ago, praising her for reaching the age of 90 and telling her about his hobbies.
And this week he received a reply from Her Majesty, thanking him for his piece and informing him about the celebrations she held for her birthday.
Avnesh, who attends Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, in Roding Lane, Chigwell, was so pleased with the response he got it framed.
His mother Miss Sony, 38, told the Recorder: “She said she was sorry that it took her so long to reply, and that she was really happy to receive his letter.
“I’m really proud of him, it’s not every day you get a letter from the Queen.”
