Rochelle and Ezra Marsh, from Newbury Park, marked their 60th wedding anniversary with a few drinks and a meal overlooking Tower Bridge - where they first courted more than 60 years ago.

The couple, who married at Bevis Marks Synagogue, in Heneage Lane, in the City of London, on September 2 1956, also received a letter from the Queen on Friday.

Rochelle, 81, and Ezra, 86, said: “The weekend of celebrations were just perfect, surrounded by our loving children, grandchildren and all our family.

“We were looking forward to it very much and are so happy that it exceeded our expectations!”
