It may be difficult to believe but one church is already launching an appeal for donations for their Christmas shoebox appeal.
St Peter’s Church, Aldborough Road North, Newbury Park, is taking part in the Love in a Box campaign for charity Children in Distress.
The charity sends presents in a shoebox to families overseas who would otherwise not receive anything for Christmas.
The presents will be sorted, wrapped and shipped by October to ensure they get there in time.
