Monzo users have been complaining about issues with the banking app today (Wednesday, August 19).
According to Downdetector, issues with the app started to be reported at around 11am.
The issue spiked at around 1pm with more than 3,000 users reporting problems with the Monzo app.
There are still over 1,000 people reporting issues with the app, as of 4pm.
Is Monzo down?
People in Liverpool, Leeds, London, Birmingham, and Edinburgh have been reporting that the Monzo app is currently not working for them.
Seventy-six per cent of people said there were problems with the app while 11 per cent are struggling with funds transfers and nine per cent have issues with mobile banking.
Monzo acknowledged its outage on its app with a message to all users.
It said that it was "experiencing issues" and added: "Your app will not be fully functionable. Thank you for your patience."
However, it reassured customers that they would still be able to make card payments, withdraw cash and see their account details.
Customers should also be able to freeze their cards and there should be no issues with sending or receiving bank transfers.
It said that users will be able to move money between their accounts and cash pots as well as contact them for help.
A Monzo spokesman said: "We’re currently experiencing a technical issue and are working to resolve this as soon as possible.
"In the meantime, we’ve moved into our back-up system Monzo Stand-in and customers can still do most things on their Monzo app including sending bank transfers and making card payments and ATM withdrawals."
People on Downdetector have been sharing their problems with the app, with one person saying: "Can’t access any early payments, can see all pots and transfer between them and still use card to make payments but that’s all!"
Another person said: "Every time I call monzo, their voicemail says that you can transfer money between accounts on their emergency website.
"I can't do it. Can anyone else? If so, how?"

The site will report a problem if the number of reports is higher than the normal amount for that time of day.
