Tesco has announced a new change for customers heading to its cafes over the next few weeks and the news has been received well.
The supermarket is offering a new menu with some returning favourites also appearing for a limited time.
The new menu at The Café includes “vibrant options” such as the Rhubarb & Custard Iced Matcha drink and cheese-topped toasties.
The change to the menu comes as the supermarket introduced a new car parking charge in some of its UK stores.
Customers can try the current menu until Monday, March 23, to make way for the new 2026 spring menu.
New food and drink items coming to Tesco’s in-store cafes
Here are the new food items customers can look forward to on the menu until March 23:
- Garlic Mushroom Mac & Cheese
- Smoked Salmon Bagel Plate
- Turkish-Style Eggs
- Fried Chicken & Crumpets
New drinks include:
- Toasted Honeycomb Latte
- Blood Orange Spritz
- Rhubarb Crumble Shake
- Matcha Latte
- Living Things Soda (Watermelon & Lime, Raspberry & Pomegranate)
- Dash Sparkling Water (Peach, Raspberry)
- Plenish shots (Ginger Immunity, Turmeric Defence)
Customers can also try some of their returning favourites, such as:
- Chicken & Bacon Club
- New York Deli Focaccia
- Open Chicken Caesar Flatbread
- Jammie Shortbread biscuit
A Tesco spokesperson said: “We’re excited to launch our new menu at The Café, which is full of vibrant options to brighten up the winter months including Turkish-Style eggs, Fried Chicken & Crumpets and Rhubarb & Custard Iced Matcha.
“This further bolsters our fantastic offering of Tesco Finest coffee, all-day breakfasts, cheese-topped toasties, lunchtime classics and a selection of bakery items.”
When Tesco shared a picture of the new Rhubarb & Custard Iced Matcha to its Instagram page, shoppers shared their thoughts, with one saying it was "UNREAL".
Another person commented: "Ooooo paired with Rhubarb & Custard is a great idea! Wonder how it tastes! 😍"
Someone else said: "Wow this sounds delicious 😍".

Tesco issues new car park warning to customers
The news comes after Tesco confirmed it would be trialling a new change to some of its car parks.
Customers have started to notice new warning signs showing who should use parent and child car parking bays and who could face a fine if they break the rules.
Former Love Island star Dani Dyer and Emmerdale actor Danny Miller, who are both parents, shared their support for the new car park notices that have been seen in selected stores.
