Iain Duncan Smith MP will be in South Woodford today following complaints from residents about a supermarket’s late licence application.
Woody Supermarket in High Road wants to extend its licence to sell alcohol on Friday and Saturday from 12am to 2.30am.
It is also looking to trade until 1am from Sunday to Thursday.
Residents are unhappy with the bid and will raise their concerns with the Chingford and Woodford Green MP at 2.30pm outside the supermarket.
Frank Cruder, Chelmsford and Derby Road Neighbourhood Watch co-ordinator, said: “We would be pleased if as many people as possible could join us at this event to show this late licence is not required.”
