Men seen running from burning cars in Fairfield Road, Ilford with petrol can

Four or five men wearing dark cloths and hoodies are being searched for by police after four top of the range cars were set on fire in the early hours of yesterday morning.
The men were seen running from the scene in the direction of Roman Road, Ilford.
One of the men was carrying a petrol can.
Two BMWs, a Mercedes and a Porsche all belonging to a family in Fairfield Road, Ilford were left “ruined” according to a fire fighter on the scene
No one was injured during the incident.
The fire brigade were on scene at about 3.30am this morning and it took them about 30 minutes to get the four fires under control.
Police were called by the firebrigade.
Two of the cars were parked on the drive, one on the road and the other parked on the opposite side of the road.
A fire spokesman said: “It was quite horrendous. It was close to taking the house out. It was lucky that the wind was blowing in the other direction. The cars were ruined.”
