Mayor of Redbridge to turn on Barkingside Christmas lights in Ken Aston Square

The Mayor of Redbridge will be lighting up Barkingside as Ken Aston Square is turned into a Winter wonderland.
The cast of Aladdin - who will be performing at the Kenneth More Theatre in Ilford will also be going along to sing songs and take part in the festivities.
A huge 40ft tree will be lit up, and decorated with baubles and ornaments made by Barkingside Art Club Special Educational Needs Group.
Chris Wyatt from Redbridge Music Lounge will be playing festive tunes, and children (and adults too) will be able to take part in face painting and Christmas crafts in Fullwell Cross Library.
This year there will be special performances from two illuminated roller skating Christmas presents - from the Cirq Delight.

The twinkling white presents will dance their way through the busy crowds, and will hopefully light up the faces expectant guests with their oversized glowing bows and love to surprise children with a pirouette and a squeal of excitement.
The lights will be switched on at 5pm on Thursday, November 29 and activities will take place from 4pm-7pm.
