A fun-filled summer garden party will be held at Birchwood Care Home in Ilford this Saturday, July 27.

Attractions include games, food, live music, a raffle, tombola and a range of stalls selling bric-a-brac, jewellery, books, cakes and much more.

The mayor of Redbridge, Cllr Felicity Banks, will open the event, on from 2pm-5pm at 406 Clayhall Avenue.

Admission is free but donations will go to the Residents’ Activities Fund.

The home’s manager, Maggie Smith, said: “Our residents are very sociable so we thought what better way to enjoy the fantastic summer we are having than to welcome our local community for an afternoon of brilliant activities and fun.”

“We are thrilled that the mayor is going to be here joining in the fun.”
