A pair of best mates came up with a safe fundraising idea to raise money for the NHS by selling popcorn to their Year 4 Goodmayes classmates.
Aminah Salmaan and Destini Augustin approached headteacher Emiley Davies and pitched their well-thought out plan to make and sell popcorn during playtime and only sell it to children in their same bubble to stay safe.
They drew up posters and did a presentation to every Year 4 class in their bubble explaining how they wanted to raise money for the NHS workers who have done so much in this difficult year.
Even though the popcorn was a steal at just 50p a bag in the first two days they raised almost £50.
They made sure to tidy up popcorn from the floor afterwards.
Deputy headteacher Claire Ige said: "We are so proud of these two very special young ladies for coming up with a great idea.
"It was quite sweet and really thoughtful."
