Police appeal to trace man wanted in connection with knifepoint robbery on the Central line at Gants Hill

Detectives from the British Transport Police have released CCTV footage of a man they want to talk to in connection with a knifepoint robbery on the Central line at Gants Hill.

At approximately 11.10pm on September 18, the victim boarded a Central line carriage at Gants Hill.

During the journey, a man approached the victim and asked him for his phone.

The victim refused, at which point the man pulled out and a knife and threatened the victim, forcing him to hand over his phone.

The man continued to threaten the victim with knife, forcing him to hand over his phone pin as well as a small quantity of cash.

The man then left the train at Leytonstone.

Officers believe the man shown in this CCTV image may have information which could help them investigate.
