Man to appear in court over Chigwell shooting

A second man arrested and charged in connection with a shooting is to appear in court today.
Kyiese Waithe, 21, of Queens Road, west London, who was arrested on Friday and charged with possessing a firearm with intend to endanger life, is due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court.
Waithe entered no plea and the case was sent to crown court after he appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.
On Saturday, July 11, police were called to an address in Limes Avenue after 10pm where a man was found with a gunshot wound to his upper body.
The victim, a man in his 20s, is said to be in a stable condition.
Another man, Daniel Edmondson, 23, of Copperfield, Chigwell, appeared in court on Tuesday charged with possessing a firearm with intend to endanger life and appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Tuesday).
He was also charged with affray and possessing a bladed article.
Edmondson entered no plea and the case was sent to Chelmsford Crown Court.
He was remanded in custody to appear for trial on September 21.
